Akuma To Be Playable at Gamagori, Japan During Golden Week

by Elvis Mack

On April 1st, the Japanese street fighter account made an April’s fool’s joke about gouki (Akuma) coming to Gamaguki. However, it seems like the joke did have some merit to it’s claims. It was announced last night that Akuma will be playable for the first time during golden week in Gamagori.

Real Battle Hub

Gamagori has been the location of the real-life battle hub. A real-life area in Laguna Ten Bosch Resort where people can travel to play Street Fighter 6 with other players as well as check out various artwork from the street fighter series. However, the exhibit is ending next month on May 6th. So, to end things with a bang, Capcom is sending a playable build of Akuma so players can try him out before release. Also given that it is golden week in Japan (a week filled with holidays in Japan) and that EVO Japan is during golden week it might be a good chance for players to try him out.

You can learn more about the collaboration in the link below:

While we do not have a set date for Akuma’s release, we do expect it to be soon. He currently does not have a place in EVO Japan and the battle hub ending on May 6th. We are expecting his release to be soon, but we will covering any new developments on the demon.
