GameStart Asia is a big supporter of indie developers, and this year we’re working with two top Japanese publishers – Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia and DMM Games, who are looking for fresh and exciting new games from Singapore and Southeast Asia to publish in Asia or on a global scale.
If you have a game to pitch, send it in to us by 20 September! Publishers will vet all submissions and shortlisted indies will be announced on 28 September 2016. All shortlisted indies will be invited to pitch in person the representatives from the publishers during GameStart 2016 in Singapore. This is open to all game developers from any country, but please note that travel expenses will not be covered or reimbursed.
Anyone can submit their game, and are not required to be an exhibitor at GameStart 2016.

Submission period: Now till 11.59pm on 20 September 2016 (Singapore time)

Inaugural GameStart Indie Awards
Announcing the inaugural GameStart Indie Awards!
We’ve seen some excellent games exhibited at previous GameStart conventions, and we think it’s time to highlight and reward the best indie games that are shown at the event. Winners will be given the chance to exhibit their game at our partner event, Taipei Game Show, which will be held in January 2017.
The GameStart Indie Award winners will be selected from companies exhibiting at GameStart 2016.
Award Categories
- Visitor’s Choice – Voted for by GameStart 2016 visitors and exhibitors
- All GameStart 2016 visitors will receive a voting card to nominate their favourite game
- The award goes to indie who receives the most votes
- Judge’s Choice – Decided by our panel of judges
Results will be announced and winners presented with the awards on the Main Stage at the end of the event on 9 October 2016.

Each award winner will receive:
- A paid trip to exhibit and showcase your game at Taipei Game Show 2017 (flight and accommodation for 1 person)
- B2B Zone Booth (19 & 20 January 2017)
