MenaRD Break Another Record at Red Bull Kumite New York

by Elvis Mack

This weekend was the Red Bull Kumite New York. This event usually holds the best players in the world in a brutal single elimination tournament for a prize pool of $50,000. In the end, however, it was MenaRD who took the God Hand.

Still Dominant

Mena won the God Hand for winning the Red Bull Kumite New York

While Mena had a poor performance at the Capcom Cup X Finals, he had to go through the brutal F pool to make it to the Top 16. That was followed up by a Top 16 losers match with Fuudo for elimination to finish the weekend at 15th place. However, his Red Bull Kumite performance much more made up for it. While he had a very close match with Broski’s A.K.I in round 1 he dominated the rest of the bracket. After only 1 other game lost, he took the tournament locking down as one of the strongest players in Street Fighter 6.
