by Elvis Mack

For years, the fighting game community’s eyes were on the upcoming game by Riot Games for the FGC. The plan was to make a fighting game using the world of Arcane, the popular League of Legends show. The result? Project L, a fighting game that had its first playtest at EVO 2023. Going into the new year, however, the team decided it’s time to take on a new name. Project L will now be known as 2XKO.

2XKO looks to be the next evolution of 2v2 fighting games. Just as a refresher, 2XKO is a 2D fighting game that aims to deliver a fast-paced and accessible experience for both casual and hardcore fans. Players can choose from a roster of champions, each with their own unique abilities and play styles, and team up with a partner to unleash devastating combos and special moves.

The game is designed to be easy to pick up and play, with simple inputs and three attack buttons. However, the game also offers depth and complexity for those who want to master its mechanics.
