The Tekken World Tour Finals 2023 is the ultimate showdown of the best Tekken 7 players in the world. The event will take place this weekend on January 13-14, 2024, in New Orleans, LA, USA, with a prize pool of $100,000. Out of the 20 players who will compete in the finals, 19 have already qualified through the Tekken World Tour 2023 Leaderboard, and one will emerge from the Last Chance Qualifier on January 12. As we await Tekken 8 in two weeks, here is all you need to know about the final Tekken 7 Finals event.

What is the Tekken World Tour?

The Tekken World Tour is a global esports league for the fighting game Tekken 7, organized by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It started in 2017 as a points-based, season-long competition, where players from different regions and countries compete in various tournaments to earn points and qualify for the annual Tekken World Tour Finals.

The Tekken World Tour is composed of four types of events: Master+, Master, Challenger, and Dojo. Each type of event awards a different number of points to the players, depending on their rank and performance.

Qualified Players

The Tekken World Tour 2023 Finals will feature the top 20 players from the global leaderboard, who will compete for the title of Tekken World Champion and a share of the $100,000 prize pool.

  • Arslan Ash (Pakistan): The four-time EVO champion and the leader of the 2023 leaderboard. He is looking to win his first Tekken World Tour Finals.
  • Ulsan (South Korea): The runner-up of the 2019 Tekken World Tour Finals and the winner of the AfreecaTV Tekken League. He is one of the strongest Korean players, with his aggressive and versatile play style.
  • Knee (South Korea): The winner of the 2018 TWT. He is one of the most respected and accomplished players in Tekken history, with his unparalleled knowledge and experience.
  • JeonDDing (South Korea): The winner of CEO 2023 and the runner-up of the 2022 Tekken World Tour. He is a fan-favorite for his charismatic personality and flashy combos.
  • Chikurin (Japan): The winner of the 2019 Tekken World Tour. He is one of the best Japanese players and a master of multiple characters in his arsenal.
  • Anakin (USA): The winner of East Coast Throwdown 2023 and a dominant force in the North American region and around the world.

Tekken World Tour Finals Schedule

The Tekken World Tour Finals 2023 will be streamed live on the official Tekken Twitch channel, as well as on YouTube and X. The schedule is as follows:

  • January 12: Last Chance Qualifier (11:00 AM – 6:00 PM CST)
  • January 13: Group Stage (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM CST)
  • January 14: Top 8 (11:00 AM – 4:00 PM CST)
